Jamie Richard

About

Jamie worked in a number of different fields. His first degree was in Biology from the University of Chicago, but while he worked for years as a researcher, there was always a love for film. First working in Chicago building and designing sets for Spanish language commercials, Jamie later went on to direct a short documentary on the L.A. riots as well as producing a series of television shows for Channel 29 in San Francisco.

More recently Jamie has worked as a freelance editor and camera operator, while working on a number of narrative fictional shorts, including When the Bough Breaks, which won the Art Institute of California's 48-hour film competition. Jamie is currently directing a feature film tentatively named The Acid Bath, a thriller inspired by the true story of the Carter Brothers; two serial killers from the early 20th century whose murderous tendencies somehow spreads to their victims.

I like the idea of making a version of the world that could last forever, that could be shared with people on the other side of the world.
